Tobago Forest Reserve, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago paulatluxury... very deep. 'Deep enough to jump from the top' I thought. I didn't want to scare my mum, although of course I did, but it just looked so appealing. In the end I couldn't find a place with a small enough curve that I felt I could safely enough jump from the top so I climbed down a little. My mum was happy about that. She also fell in love with a higher level waterfall which you could shower in. She felt like she was in a film (although I reckon she really meant 'I'm a celebrity...').
Crown Point, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago phil.aldridgeTobago celebrates Easter by holding their famous (to them) goat races. When we got there i was worried to hear that the goats had jockeys. Fortunately for the goats though, the comical image of a full grown man on a goat was left to my imagination as the jockeys had to run alongside their goat to steer them and spur them on. It was all very fun after a few beers and the comentators ...

Castara, Trinidad and Tobago horizon_chaser... not ripen until we have left. We were looking for some limes for drinks and discovered that not only do they not have limes as we know them, but "lime" more often means "party." When you hear liming, or lime it is always referring to a party or get together and not a fruit. As for double double...in Canada to patrons of Tim Horton's it means one thing...in Trini and Tobago it means ...

Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago farawayfromhome... as oil, sugar, and other exports only found in the Caribbean. Many hold the misconception of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) as being part of South American; however, being over 20 miles off the cost of Venezuela, it is actually part of the West Indies. After a few days in Trinidad, we flew to Tobago on a typical Caribbean prop plane which took all of 10 minutes. Landing in Tobago fulfilled all of our ...
Scarborough, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago kliddle... much of a clue. It was when they had a whip round for the sellotape and brown paper that we really got the willies.... About 11am we took off and creaked our way down south to Trinidad. Organised a car rental at the airport and set off headed north to the Northern ranges, up to the Toco coast and to Grande Riviere. Beautiful rugged mountains and lush countryside - stopped off for local delicacy Shark and Bake - good stuff. Everybody ...
