Jal City Hachinohe

So these are the photos from me and Diana's going away parties over the last 2 days in Akita before we went to Tokyo and then went home. I posted them to facebook but I guess I never put them on here. It was a great party where we had yummy Korean food and lots of laughs and then lots of crying. Everyone cried even the boys, they tried to hide it but we could still tell.

When I was 2 years old, my father, a captain in the Air Force, was told we were going to be stationed in Japan. This was about 19 years ago. For the 4 years I lived in Japan, I spoke the language, when to school with the Japanese kids and lived as one of them. My family traveled all over the country as well as to Thai Land. ... Apples in Season in full effect. All the orchards were full of apples and everyone from all over came to the area to buy fresh apples. My mom loves these apples and had a few dozen sent to several family members around Japan. We returned from our long trip and went to pay our respects to our late Tako Obachan. We had dinner with our family and returned back to uncle Takeshi's house. At Takeshi's we had some beer and sake with rice crackers, what a treat!

So we left the family (I MISS SATO!!) and spent 9 1/2 hrs on a ferry. Not like ours tho you get separated into large rooms (with other ppl) you take off your shoes and have a little black pillow to sleep on the floor. But guess what our room was nice and empty coz whenever the Japanese looked in they saw us and went elsewhere!!!!

Misawa Air Base, Japan, is located approximately 400 miles northeast of Tokyo. We get a lot of snow here! Check out the weather link!
