Better with miles than cash!

Recent increase price of airfare to Europe prevents many people from traveling. That is understandable. As a member of frequent flyer from United, I was able to redeem the miles to Central Europe with Lufthansa. Obviously, it saved me more cash!

... we didn’t have to mess around with taxis etc. It was good to see him! The Croatian countryside was very beautiful, with rolling hills and quaint little farming villages. It definitely felt as if I’d gone back to a time when things were much more simple, and the pace of human life much more relaxed.  It was beautiful. Today I left St Roar early in the morning!
Comperable to yesterday along the Rhine up to Bingen.
Shortly after St Roar I was expected to see Die Lorelei but after consultation of a man walking with his dog, he said, you passed it already a few km ago. OK, I'm sure she will not do me any harm.

... start, we explored Raunheim and then headed to Wiesbaden to meet up with Sasha. Sasha is stationed at Wiesbaden Air Force Base and we were able to get a look inside. It was such a great feeling to hand over our passports to smiling officers and get temporarly onto "US" soil. Sasha gave us a tour of his barracks, dorm, work and all the places to eat - it felt just like a university only definitely a little more intense.

... it spits out a receipt for me to be refunded. Likewise, at the soccer game, I paid for my plastic cup and was returned the euro once I returned it safe and sound. It's a good system, especially if they end up recycling!

So overall I'm really enjoying my work group, and work isn't that terrible.. It's not what I expected to be doing, but hey, it keeps me busy!
