    ... is she can now read the notorious Croatian tram timetables. Had to go bikini searching as Katie's broke. Ended up in McDonald's for tea- eventually gave in as none of us could be bothered to cook. We are getting the tram back and then sleeping, ready to get up at 5am for our train to Slovenia tomorrow. The way in we saw lots of the post socialist Yugoslavian block housing...large unattractive apartment buildings but that quickly gave way to modern glass clad buildings and baroque structures with old slate roofs side by side.     ... impressions changed quickly as the architecture and energy changed the further north-upper I went. The city center was filled with so much activity and I loved watching the blue trams pass by every minute. Two main narrow pedestrian cobble roads led up through the neighborhoods which were filled (I mean filled) with cafes and restaurants.
