... it did the job. It was a sit down bagel restaurant and the server asked that we order beverages because we had brought in our own and it wasn't allowed. On the menu, it explained what a bagel was and some history; clearly they aren't too common in Belgium.
We walked around the town of Lueven after bagels and obviously got Belgian waffles - just as good the second time. I really wish I could take some home! It was cold and rainy all day - your typical Belgian ...

... big Saturday night in the city there are the occasional remnants of drunken fools. Saturday night in Amsterdam will be in fact one of the greatest nights of my life. After an hour and 20 minutes on a train from Paris we arrived in Brussels. We spoke to my buddy Tim as soon as we had Wi-Fi who said we could stay with him in Leuven so we sat down at a pub in Brussels, had a couple beers then hopped back on a train to Leuven.

... Very characterful XIXth century house. The bedroom on the top floor feels like a treehouse, with nice views over the streetscape in all directions.

In the evening we walked around the local area, the Grand Sablon Square and and church, the pretty garden at Petit Sablon, around the Palais Royal.

Pickup up a few supplies for breakfast on the way back.
