Only visited 3 wineries today. I'm done with that for a while! Scott Harvey winery was fun. Good wines and food. Liked to talk to Scott about his business. It really was a bittersweet time without mom. Missed her presence so. But I have to face these " first" times where I'm ...

... had eaten Alanna, one of the owners, took us into the Vineyard at the top of the hill. She brought with her some of the new C******nay and some wine glasses and we gathered around and toasted mom. It was really quite nice. ... Overlook trail. The trees were amazing. The sad thing in the forest is the stump of the biggest sequoia tree that was cut down for fun by 5 men in 1852. It took them 22 days to cut down the tree that was 1244 years old. It was 280ft tall and 25ft in diameter. This greatly angered John Muir who started a preservation campaign of woods and natural beauty areas. We braved eating our picnic in the woods and happily did not see ...

... moment, Jackson, is a pleasant surprise. The National Hotel is beautiful, the children are also given a Ghosts Hunting kit as it seems there are ghosts in the building, they remained there since the old gold rush era. We find a couplw in our room... The hotel's steakhouse is extremely good, and we drink a delicious Californian Barbera from Cooper winery. Room is large and clean. We are in ...
