... the closest mall was and he pointed vaguely to the left. I found it a little further on from El Mortero where I had dinner last night. There was a small green Cambio near the entrance that was offering 12.5 pesos for USD so I cashed in $300 there. The peso notes I received in exchange were pristine, as were the ones I got at the airport yesterday. Mexico has very strict laws about defacement of currency and torn bills apparently aren’t accepted - not even as tips.
... up a couple of postcards after walking along the hotel zone. I noticed a sign warning you about the crocodile infested waters - no joke!! Then back to the good old supermarket, where I picked up a rather unusual dinner; rice with chunks of bull and a pepsi. I was able to get it warmed up with a nice clean microwave they have, and that is especially for customers.

... that the current was so strong and they advised against swimming. It didn't look as bad as back home but I guess they were catering for Americans who may sue! So better be safe than sorry! We got to Cancun airport early so we had a big lunch at Bubba Gump with Forrest Gump playing on the TVs before boarding the flight to Dallas. We received our business class upgrade using our points so we were able to use the lounge in Dallas and again in Brisbane before arriving home to ...
