... literally huge sprawling through the streets of the neighbourhood. Unlike market 28 and 23 this one is just for the locals you won't see this one mentioned in guidebooks. Everything you can imagine was for sale. One shop/stall had lots of household goods and we were told if something gets stolen from your house this is the place to come to retrieve it, of course you will have to buy it back! There were stalls selling fruit and vegetables, food, fruit drinks ...
... the fire wouldn't take hold with the charcoal and once we had used all our newspaper and lighter gel we gave up and cooked the steaks in a pan. James and I blamed the humidity and rain and the lack of oxygen getting to the fire in the poorly designed grill...not any lack of skill on our part! Well today I met up with my tour for Central America and am now in the more budget end of my travels! Essentially I am now backpacking but with a tour guide to assist us through. The group seems full of really good people, although we are rather a monstrous regiment of women; of the 19 of us there are only 3 blokes, however they seem OK with it!

... The ironing board itself proved to be too big! The hair clippers managed to find their way into the bag, which contained a pair of scissors. They had to be left behind, of course. The clippers still made it though :-)
A coffee or so later our friends had checked in and we met up in the lounge. Lots of excitement and disbelief about the date finally having arrived!
