... Aroon gave me a massage lesson, as it helps Mums back so much. Poor Ocean, who hates massages, was the candidate. I didn’t realise how much muscle power they took and woke up on Wednesday morning very sore! On Tuesday evening we cooked Pi Anne Spaghetti Bolognaise Kutchum style, which turned out nicely. We had a lovely evening chatting with her although it got sad when she began blinking back tears as we gave her her card and presents!

Thursday was Tessaban schools turn. It was done differently with every child having a small boquet of flowers to give the teachers. Ocean and I felt quite uncomfortable with the children on the knees bowing with their heads to the floor in front of us! The school had hired an ice-cream van to give the children all a free ice-cream afterwards so we didn't feel quite so guilty! Then it was time for the student’s to elect ...

On Saturday we went to Mukdahan with Pi Beun and her family. Her son, Mieu, is in Anuban 3 and was initially very shy with us (sometimes I wish he would be shy in class!). We had a lovely day there and were sad to realise that unless I take my family when they come to visit it will probably be our last time in Mukdahan!

... Kutchum I was bitten by a dog. Well as we were cycling to dinner the dog was out. It chased Ocean a bit but as I was behind her it quickly turned to me. It jumped up and sank its jaws into my upper thigh. I screamed and as there were so many people there a big commotion was caused. We were quickly sent on our way to hospital. ... checked in for our flight. When the gate opens we have to walk across the tarmac to a twin propeller aircraft that appears to have seen better days. The safety instructions inside identifz it as a SAAB 340B Plus and I will have to look it up on the internet later if there is a later !
