Historical Traveler Reviews JK Place Firenze Florence

    Simply heaven

    from

J.K. Place is extremely intimate and cozy. Me and my husband spent two nights at this lavish property. We loved everything from the reception area, breakfast, rooftop terrace, ambiance, service and last but not least the staff. An added bonus is the complementary internet access in the lounge. J.K. Place was lit with candles at all times, at night the property was lit with even more candles which lent a warm glow and lovely scent. The rooms were very sleek & elegant. The bed was the most comfortable bed in all of Italy. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and spacious compared to other hotels in Italy. J.K. Place has been by far one of the most memorable hotel stays for us.

I defiantly appreciated how prompt Sabrina was to any questions I had via e-mail. Thanks Sabrina :)

We also had a wonderful dining experience at Ristorante La Giostra I recommend Taglierini con tartufi bianchi (Pasta with Truffles in the creme sauce!)

Once you stay here you will never want to leave. There is just something special about this place......................it's a hidden GEM!!!!!!

YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER PLACE IN FLORENCE!

    from

We just returned from a stay at JK Place (August 2004) and agree wholeheartedly with the rave reviews seen here.

From the moment we were picked up at the train station to checkout, we were pampered with excellent service from every single person at the hotel.

We rented the Penthouse and it lived up to its advertising. The outdoor terrace was a perfect spot for breakfast every morning and the view from there and the bathtub was breathtaking.

The room was 2 story, large and very comfortable.

(Don't pull the string hanging near bathtub & shower, as it's an alarm to staff...as we found out too late!)

The common areas were warm and comfortable, the daily "snacks" and drinks were great and we loved coming "home" every day.

The staff arranged tickets for museum visits so we wouldn't have to stand in line and made excellent dinner recommendations (even having glasses of champagne sent to our dinner).

From top to bottom, JK Place is top notch. You cannot go wrong staying here - it is wonderful in every way.

Location is a little out of the way...but just a few minutes walk to the main part of the city. The Piazza it's located on is under renovation and will be great once it's fixed up. Train station is just 5 minutes away, so the car pickup is really not necessary -- grab a cab when you arrive.

    The Best Service Ever!!

    from

J.K. Place was the most unexpected pleasure of our trip to Italy. From the moment we were received at the entrance until the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. My wife and I and my three children are very greatful for Cosmo, Claudio, Oli and the entire staff. They went out of their way to see to it that our children were comfortable. The room (suite) was spectacular. Very clean and decorated better than any 4 star NY hotel that I have stayed at. Most importantly, very, very clean. Great bathrooms. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence. It is right in the middle of everything! Have fun.

EXCELLENT hotel experience!! You can't go wrong with JK Place.

    from

We've travelled all over the place in Italy and stayed at various 5 star hotels, but we haven't come across anything like JK Place. The location, decor, service... everything was perfect. The best part of it all may be the staff. We've had our share of dealing with the "tourist treatment" in Italy, but we have simply never come across such friendly staff!! It's not difficult to find trendy, hip hotels... what's most difficult to find are staff that can make your vacation that much more special.

    Excellent place!!

    from

We stayed at JK Place in Sept 2003. I searched for hours to find a upscale place in Florence that did not cost a fortune. I stumbled across JK Place but could not find any reviews or information but took a chance based on the photos.

From the moment I emailed the hotel to book, the staff was wonderful! After we arrived, we realized our train tickets were incorrectly booked and the hotel corrected this (for a brief fee). We had some issues with the plumbing on our second night and the hotel upgraded us to the only room available, the master suite which was amazing.

    I highly recommend this gem!!

The Place in Florence or Anywhere

    from

Where should I begin?? This was my 2nd visit to my "home away from home". I have yet to find another place quite like the JK Place. Ori, Sabrina, Claudia and the rest of the staff are just marvelous!! The hotel is spectacular --- but the staff make it "Very Special". The community breakfast table make it possible, with great ease, to meet the other guests in the hotel. We chose to have the same junior suite as our prior visit. Our parents had the penthouse suite and enjoyed the views of the city. Thumbs up to JK Place!! There is no better place to stay!!

    Felt like home

    from

We had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful boutique hotel thanks to a phone call made on our behalf by the architect who designed the hotel, who's currently designing our house in Tuscany. I mention this because it's really because of Michele Bonan plus a wonderful staff that make this hotel a real gem. Minutes after our arrival, we were shown into a drawing room to enjoy prosecco to our hearts' content.

Before turning in for the evening, I chose a couple of DVD's, rent-free, to bring up to our room. The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable, the pillows the perfect softness, the bathroom a delight and I just can't emphasize enough how great our experience was.

Elegance, Service, One of the Very Best

    from

Just returned from Firenze and the JK Place Hotel. I don't want tell a soul about this wonderful, elegant, small hotel and yet I want everyone to know about it. Beautiful "tailored" rooms are second only to the remarkably capable, friendly, professional and always available staff.

A true find for the discerning traveler. Not an average hotel by any stretch of the imagination. If there were 6 stars I would give them all 6.

The Best Boutique Hotel in Florence!

    from

This hotel makes you not want to ever leave. The decor is divine, but more than anything the service is impeccable. Ori and his staff go the extra mile to make every request fulfilled. I have recommended this hotel to all of my friends who want to have a chic, hip,but very cozy experience.

For those who enjoy to be pampered

    from

went to stay at Jk Place this summer with my partner. After an exhausting trip from Bangkok and after a couple of months of hard work.

We found that this is truly a haven for people who understand design and to pamper one needs. The service was attentive, but without being intrusive. A truly gem and the people working there are also very friendly and goodlooking too!

We stop for lunch at Trattoria Winery just on the outskirts of San Gimignano. We are served a lovely (3) course meal with their special white and red wines. It was a very pleasurable experience and there were great views across to the towers of San Gimignano.

David and I arrived in Italy yesterday. The beginning of our adventure is in Florence, or Firenze as the locals call it. We had an incredibly bumpy plane ride, the stuff of white knuckles and vomit bags, which was especially nerve wracking given the recent air disaster in the French Alps. We landed in one piece, but then almost got hit by a few taxis and mopeds absolutely screaming down the road outside the airport, despite that fact that we were crossing at a pedestrian crossing. Ah, ...

... there. Just as amazing to see this time as last. Now you can take pictures. So we did. It's incredible how something like that can be carved out of a piece of stone. We spent about an hour here. Mr. Bresett then took us on a walking tour of some of the sites. There were many 'wow's as we rounded the corner and the Duomo came into view. Huge and elaborate. I was hoping that we could go into the dome and see the paintings but it was not to ...

We have returned to our hotel to rest our feet and plan to head out again later tonight. Tomorrow is a tour to Prada outlet, watch out any budget we may have ...

Tomorrow Liz and Marcia are off to Rome, Civitavecchia to be exact, to catch their Cruise Ship and sail off to the Greek Isles. We say our goodbyes. What fun we had sharing Firenze with these two lovely ladies. I think they too had a good time – hope ...
