... trying to cure their hangovers. After we ate, we explored a little before getting back in the car and heading towards Minneapolis, Minnesota - a 4 hour drive. ... a bit of driving we decided to take a break and stretch. We stopped at a Dairy Queen where the family got a Blizzard to share, a Peanut Buster for Mom and an Arctic Rush to share. The service was very slow but Mom said it was the best and most peanut-laden Peanut Buster she had ever had and was well worth the wait.

... blowing bubbles on everyone. I'm guessing that the increase in the number of children seated around the track had something to do with that.

From here we headed out in hopes of finding a trail where we could hike to the gorge and view the canyon before the thunderstorms let loose. Unfortunately, we were not able to beat the storms so we returned to the hotel.

We didn't put many miles on today but we definitely fed the fun meter for this ...

... the heart of the city as some describe it, but more the spinal cord. People don’t congregate at a particular place; it just attracts people to the myriad of small shops, bars and eateries along its length. There is some good food available, we sampled a beer, chocolate and coffee cupcake as well as a nice little picnic on the median strip under the trees near the State Capitol building with a local cheese board and some craft beers/ciders.
