... to be a great experience. We felt like part of the family. Bailey and Gina opened the kitchen and allowed Steve to bartend. After all, they were busy preparing our gormet dinner. We met some great people (Hello, Kim and Meg). Once daylight came, we realized that the view from Bay Hill Towers must be the best in St Vincent. And... we could see Bequia from our room.

...so close but still a million miles away (we thought about swimming it)
First Night in St. Lucia

... floor overlooking the pool and ocean. Rodney Bay area was a bit too tourista for us. It was reminiscent of spring break. To be fair, we did not have an opportunity to explore outside the immediate area. We had our first chicken Roti at Lime- average. Spent the morning on Reduit Beach in St. Lucia. Very nice and relaxing.

Kat in St Lucia – Arrival Day

... of the island, we bypassed the queues for immigration and security, and were fast tracked out of the airport. I did feel a little sorry for everyone else waiting in line, but also a little bit pleased with myself at the same time.
Jumping in the mini van, reggae music on high, the first stop was at a bar for a Piton beer or Rum and Coke at a view point. It was raining but it didn’t put a dampener ...

Im Off to St Lucia! The Adventures of Kat

... through the rainforest.

Now I wouldn’t describe myself as an adrenaline seeking, adventure kind of girl. Although I enjoy keeping fit and trying new things, past experiences of trying more adventurous activities have not been that successful. Whilst horse riding in the New Forest my horse bolted. Whilst sea kayaking in Mallorca I had to be rescued when I beached myself on some rocks ...

Christmas In The Caribbean

... been temperamental with stinking hot one minute and pouring rain the next but Christmas Day was sunny and hot all day so by 2 o'clock we were ready to celebrate our 5 course Christmas Dinner. It was nice to have Matt and John with us and made it feel a more festive. Following dinner we rolled off Bella and went to join friends on Seamist for drinks and more food...... The boys got a silent chaos to drag behind the dinghy for Christmas and have been zooming around the ...

It Really Does Rain in The Rainforest

... from the earth as well as some boiling mud. The guides gave us really good information about the history of this particular volcano and of the different types of volcanoes found around the world. The smell of sulfur is taken as a good sign that the volcanic activity is normal. If the sulfuric smell disappeared, then this was a sign that odorless poisonous gases were being released and that you should run for your life. We then walked over to a small creek where you can bathe in the ...
