We drove into town that evening for coffee and viewed our favourite stork nest while church bells rang before calling it a day. On Thursday we headed off to Croatia and went to a beautiful city called Varaždin, located not far from the Slovenian ...

... I walked over to a local grocery store and marvelled at all of the unfamiliar brands and new products. At the checkout I 'pretended' to be Slovenian by using what few words I knew, guessing what was being said to me in Slovenian and responding accordingly with body language and simple sounds of affirmation or denial. It was pretty funny and I think I got away with it! In the evening we all went for some pretty delicious pizza at a place in town before calling it a day.
