... he was a hawker, and besides, we only had one hour to buy tickets, hopefully use the bathroom and buy some food, so I was in a rush. He directed us to the ticket office, stood by while we bought the tickets, then led us to our platform. As we were wondering where to get food, a young man smoking outside the station cafe asked if we needed help because we looked lost... ... during the upcoming year. The white color symbolizes man - the power, and the red color symbolizes woman - health. On the 1st of March Bulgarians give such a string to their friends and family members. They normally wear it on their wrist for a certain period of which end is connected with the first signs of spring. When people see the first blossoming tree they tie it there. That's why we saw some of them still hanging :) Nice tradition, isn´t it?
