      ... hotel in Nikko and got on our first bus ride to explore some temples. Today we went to Rinno-ji which is currently under construction. One is still able to go inside what is literally a building site and see three giant buddhas and some other items on display. You are not allowed to take pictures of the buddhas so you will have to imagine what a thousand-handed buddha and a horse-headed buddha look like.

      ... to get to know people in Japan due to language barriers, our Japanese is very limited. Not much English is spoken here. I really want to learn more, I'm trying to keep adding words and phrases to my memory and pay close attention to common things said around me. Learning more all the time. I try to say the things I do know often to perfect them. I would love to be able to speak it fluently one day, you never know!
