Ben: The last two days have been pretty epic. First up Disneyland! We started the day by getting some brunch at Kobuchi-ya, a small vegan macrobiotic cafe is Akasaka. Food was great, perfect way to begin the day before heading into one of the most vegan unfriendly places in Tokyo!

After we filled up, we headed into the fantasy mecca that is Disneyland! Tokyo's version of the park was the first Disneyland built outside of the U.S. and first opened in 1983. I have to ...

... locations on the departure board never quite fit with the ones researched online. So I gambled and queued patiently with the locals while the train was cleaned and got on the one leaving at 8.08 hoping it was the only one leaving then. Thankfully it was! Initially the train was slow however once it had cleared Tokyo it really picked up speed. When it's value hit home was on the second local line train to nikko, where I suddenly felt every single bump in the track ...

At one time this lake was a popular destination spot for holiday makers, and many villas dotted the shoreline. Some evidence of it's hay day is easy to find, if you steer away from the Shrines which are still popular with coach parties, there are some remarkable scenes around the shoreline. Today was about photographing some rural scenes, but I never like to take snaps of famous places. ...
