    What was I thinking

The countryside may suit some, like for example, bears, but I don't think it's for me. I've been awake the last 90 minutes thanks to a snorer in the bunk next to mine. Missed the Russian GP due to the wifi..... I'll forego the second night here and head back to ...

Off next to the tomb. While restoration work is currently underway some areas of the complex are inaccessible. The vast garden is apparent from the steps but unfortunately is currently out of bounds. A creek running through feeds fresh mountain water to the water station. As you make your way up you pass through a gate of opposing Deva statues and up to ...

... Shinto-ism, but we always try to travel with open minds and open hearts and immerse ourselves as much as possible in things we might not always understand. The chanting, which we’d thought must have been coming from a whole chorus of monks, turned out to be coming from just one man who sat at the front of a long wall covered in deities and offerings and statues. As he chanted he was also performing some hand movements and was clicking and waving different objects which ...
