    ... that is utterly pervasive. It's actually become something of a game - to try and find the one piece of garbage that someone forgot to pick up. Even out here in the countryside, groundskeepers and old ladies minding their storefronts and even off-duty tour guides - all routinely, perpetually seem to be picking up and maintaining the cleanliness of even the busiest tourist areas.

    It's amazing.

    ... When eggs are boiled in the mineral water of the hot springs the shell turns black. The Japanese believe that if you eat one of the black eggs, 7 healthy years will be added to your life.
