    We decided to have a quietish day today. We set out mid morning and stopped at a menswear shop, where Pete discovered a nice cotton jumper. The only issue was size. The label indicated XXL.     ... church. It was a former girls home and orphanage and it does have the feel of that. Our room is sparse, and we have no view, which is the real travesty, because what I saw outside was magnificent. It seems it is a modern (and I use that word loosely!) day Fawlty Towers, with our very own Manuel, he doesn’t speak English, nor very good Italian, but speaks French. Lucky I speak a little…
