... night and seem to be getting some of my strength back its taken it out of me and luckily have had Ian around to help me. Everytime I got up I just felt dizzy but thats common I think with concussion. Ian had to feed me soup the other day as my hands would not stop shaking but as I said I am feeling a lot better now and even agreed to move on to Opatija which is about 2 hours down the coast and a little ...

He told me to come up and see him so I was on my way up when I thought it would be funny to pretend I was a gladiator on a horse and started trotting into the arena next minute my leg went something pulled in my calf I know now that it was only a pulled muscle but I was in agony and Ian was laughing thinking my horse had gone lame.
I tried to hobble over to some ...

Pula, Istria, Croatia rampantredhead... Koper, which I don't read until evening, but sounds to be well worth spending time in. Ah well.... Cheapest motorway by far (if we have the conversion rate right!) Pull up in Stoja camping, on headland. Bit rough & ready looking - but the kind of place that appeals to me. Town didn't look quite so cute, but decide we will explore.
Day 7 Turns out to be a far better place than it initially looked: fine remains of ...
We met Mauro Dujmovic for our private walking tour of Rovinj. We went past an amazing market with local produce, olive oil and souvenirs. We wound our way up through the old village to the top where the church was. The view of the sea was breathtaking. We then went for traditional Croatian coffee at a seaside cafe. Very strong.
The sunny day turned blazingly hot. We wandered through the more modern part ...
... a chat with the very smartly-dressed local guy at the next table, who recommends we have lunch at the Puntulena restaurant 300 metres away. The Istrian peninsula is the part of northern Croatia which abuts Slovenia and is surrounded by the Adriatic. It was part of Italy until after WW2 and many Italians still live there and many locals speak Italian. Rovinj, Croatia everardt... mass I walked around the town, which took about 15 minutes, used the internet for a bit then had a pizza at a great pizza shop. Julius stayed behind and attended mass at St Euphemia Catholic church, which sits at the peak of the hill of old town with a view of the sea. The bones of St Euphemia are housed in the church. The story of how the bones got ...
