After spending the morning in Ajaccio, we left for Calvi but before that we wanted to stop by Corte and the beautiful beach Algajola.

There are 3 hrs (driving) between Ajaccio and Calvi. However, going thru the mountain was difficult, so many turns, OMG, we had to stop, I thought it will never end (I got car sick... as always:). I don't know how one can possible drive on those roads. I ...

I must admit, we surfaced long enough to gulp our lunch, and have a few laughs before scurrying below for the remainder of the day. We spent most of the day, studying ...

The hooowling winds were still playing their tune when we got up. Everything was just soggy, and the whistling winds thru the boat halyards, seemed to be competing with the forceable winds from over the mountain. In looking around, I marveled at just how gloomy everything was, and how ominous the wind sounded. On the reader board at the Captainere office, just next to Milena the below weather warnings were posted: BEAUFORT SCALE: The Northern Tip ...

... and Augustus banished there his nephew Postumio Marco Giulio Agrippa who was killed . In the cave of S. Giovanni you can see still today the ruins of Agrippa's villa . All the island gives hospitality to the goal and therefore it is a closed place where you can get ashore only with the permission of the Ministry of the Interior or for well grounded reasons due to the navigations as damage to ship or rough sea. Its population is only made of convicts and guards. The island ...
