... swim, sunbathe, and eat. A pretty easy list, just like vacation should be. So that was really it - that was all I did. I biked, I swam, I sunbathed, and I ate - before I knew it, the day was over. However, not until I returned to Dave's did I realize quite how sunburned I was - and had the pleasure of being reminded just how painful sunburn can be. Showering in the only available ...

With that we were up before dawn to catch our 7am flight back to Italy connecting through Qatar and thus finished an incredible two weeks of sailing, that offered so much more. A trip that every sailor should attempt at least once in their life.

Last full day on Monkey Puzzle in the Seychelles and we're heading north to round the Island to spend the night in St. Anne Marine Park. The wind picks up as we approach BeauVallon Beach and we begin sailing first on a bean reach and as we round the island close hauled tacking to our ...
... time for another provisioning run. Marcello and I take a walk up the road to Vitoria and find a few minimarkets that have frozen meat, fresh bread, bottled water, and beer. It’s great that we don’t need much as it’s a longer walk than we expected. Meanwhile, Lisa has inquired about a dive with the whale sharks at the resort ...
Beau Vallon, Beau Vallon, Seychelles Islands gmanvento... colored fish of all types and size including eagle rays, lion fish, blue and green striped grouper. The water is shallow, maybe .5-1.5m below the surface so the light is fantastic. Coral formations are beautiful. We must have spent at least 2 hours in the water. This has to be one of the best snorkel locations in the world.

... in 3-4m of sandy bottom. But, then we wouldn’t have a great memory of cooking our mega-red snapper while rocking back and forth in the salon. All I can say to Lisa is --- sorry.
As you might have guessed, nothing was going to keep Marcello from cooking our red snapper that day. The only question was how. HE consider the grill but felt it was too small ...
... We began the circle hike through the park. Almost instantaneously you feel like you've been transported back into pre-historic times with, incredibly large coco du mer trees and overgrown prehistoric fauna surrounding you. Adding to this backdrop is the sexually suggestive nature of the male and female coco du mer seeds. Perhaps, the Adam and Eve had the same setting in ...
Petite Cour, Seychelles Islands gmanvento... again heading to the north side of the bay and encounter a sea turtle that plays with them. By now, they are getting use to the incredible undersea life they encounter with every immersion.
So, the judgment call? No doubt that sunset at Lazio beach must rank with the best in the world and a sundowner just makes it easier to appreciate.

... the food, which is imported due to the lack of agriculture space here. By changing my money on the black market, I got literally twice the rate for it, and so that cuts all of the prices basically in half, making things much more affordable. This entry has other intentions than explaining Seychelles however... I want to offical announce that I will not be returning to Canada. I have decided to stay with Karaka, Tom and cat indefinitely. I have really ...
Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles Islands realisme_33... to leave, partly because we've run out of respectable clothes to wear, but also because the thought of laying around for a whole week, sunbaking and eating, with an occasional swim, would bore us to tears. Our only complaints about the hotel were the lighting in the room, which was OK for romance, but useless for reading by, and their A$30 per hour to use the internet (which is why we didn't use it). Our 10.15am taxi arrives for our ...
