... for Pataua South. Wow – what a lot of changes from the early years but I figured out roughly where Dad’s oyster farm was all those years ago. After lunch (when the tide was low) we went out looking for pipi. They were very scarce and not many bigger ones. We did get some mussels as well. The water in the estuary was as warm as. ... a backpackers dorm and enjoyed a nice hot shower and some conversation with new people. It rained rather constantly all night and was still going strong this morning. I checked two weather apps on my phone and they both said heavy rain all day so I decided that it was time for a rest day after only half a day (40 kms) of cycling. Better weather is predicted from tomorrow so hopefully I'll be rested enough to start travelling further up the North West coast then!

... down at the bench and got her food out. Then she was on the swing, and it was "go higher, go higher" all of the time. Every 5 minutes she would stop, run over, have a drink and a ritz, then back on the swing. This went on for quite a while and the whole time Ed was pushing her, well didn't need four hands to push one swing. We took it in turns every now and then, but Ed was her best friends.
