The roads were shocking and rather narrow, which is surprising considering how popular the place is with the locals. ... of Valetta and Mdina. Our guide Victoria gave us a good historical description of both cities and of the island.

In Valetta, we visited the State Palace and St John’s Cathedral. The former is now occupied by the current Maltese Parliament (although new buildings are almost complete to shift them from this historic location).
