... John later fixed a few mor leaks. Had dinner at a beautiful fish restuarant with some old friends - very pleasant evening. Bought food for our trip back to Majorca and plan to leave Mahon tomorrow morning circa10am. Ian sends huis best wishes to Mar and Denise and looks forward to meeting up on Saturday or the next few days. Happy days.

Well another day in paradise, albeit overcast today (welcome to september). Finished drying out the boat just my bedding and a few teeshirts to go.
We were invited to lunch by Peter and Anthea two very old friends of Ians, we were picked up by Peters skipper Andy in a big rib ...
Active day on the boat today although sailing miles much reduced - John cleaned and dried a pretty wet boat after yesterday's sail. Hard work aside we had time for a pleasant breakfast, lunch and now having lamb/sea bass for supper. Mahon an interesting town - quieter today as now entering the low season - maybe the marina prices will drop. Walked up into the old town before food looking at the sights! but now back on the waterside for food. Tomorrow may be even less active.
We really did leave on time this morning. 7am and we left our mouring almost silently. A perfect first two to three hours on one tack up the southerly coast of the island - the last couple of hours was a bit painful as the sea swellbuilt up and the wind shifted. So plenty of tacking ...
Left cuidella at the crack of dawn ok 11am into a very pleasant easterly ish! wind. Lunch bought in the morning so ok for food. Good sail but decided to stop at Galdana for a swim and chill out. At least we can reach Mahon tomorrow if we want to and leave early. At anchor so likely to be up early. Galdana quite busy so lots to watch. I helmed all the way whilst John read his book ...
