Ve woke up fresh and clean around 07-08, and now the jetlag has completely gone.<br>At around 13.00 we decided to go out and try to see the beach before it was too late, despite the light rain. once we get on the bus to the hotel zone where the beach is, the rain became more and more ferocious! We ended up walking around the bar area, competing on a machine where you slam a club ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico young-gunWe landed in Cancun after apr. 15 hours of traveling. Martin had beforehand done some research and found a hostel for us. We took a van from tha airport there. <br><br>After checking in, eating and finding a much needed laundry shop, we fell asleep like ...
Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico young-gun... police school drop out and Milli ignoring my rants. <br><br>A few hours later we arrived in Cancun, to immediately leave again. We took a cab to the ferry, boarded a fast cat and 15 minute later we were on the beautiful island of the ladies. Unfortunately all the ladies I've seen on the island are loud, fat and obnoxious (my lady of course completely making up for the rest of her nearby species. The men aren't exactly great either, all pasty, flabby and sweating rivers) but ...
Isla Mujeres, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico shanemilli... the hostel was spent in the beach bar which was really good and we rarely went to bed before 5am throughout the week. This started when me and Rachael decided that we'd try and not go to bed and sleep on the beach instead. We made it through to 7am before cracking having seen the sun rise, escaped the attention of a beach thief who was sneaking around in the trees behind us whilst we sat listening to music and ...
Isla Mujeres, Mexico jamie88... to people 'walking' to the hotel. He asked us whether we needed help and we told him that we just wanted to check in. He looked at us with our backpacks and said we could go ahead, but proceeded to follow us into the reception area. The hotel had apparently not received our booking over the web....but after showing them the confimation we had received by e-mail....all was well and we were checked into a room with the most incredible view. The building was ...
Cancun, Mexico swisselle... albino ones! Last stop before biking back to town was snorkeling. Highlights included seeing a manta ray and getting mobbed by angelfish (?) when we released some fish food we bought into the water. We biked about 16 kilometers round trip, but the amazingness of this feat was not the distance but rather the fact that our bikes made it the entire way. My first time biking in years, I rode a rusty grape colored cruiser with a wobbly back wheel ...
Isla Mujeres, Mexico casey_matt... hearing countless stories of people being rescued by them out at sea from sharks etc, I just can`t imagine how we could have so little regard for them. So don´t eat unfriendly tuna guys. Later that afternoon we went to an old Mayan temple right on the coast at a place called Tulum. This particular Mayan temple was nothing too special except that it is one of the most beautifully positioned, right next to white sand coves where you can swim. Yesterday we went to ...
