    We visited a few old cities on the way to Caceres so a bit of wandering. Some ruins, some intact all interesting in their own ways. Caceres is a unesco heritage site and has been owned by many forces along the way. Like many old cities though it lacked a bit of greenery.
    There have been constant little figures of the kkk style inquisitors so when we had a full size model,pictures were important! Storks are persisting though nests ...

    ... to dapper lads in oddly matched suits with bowties waiting for their girls - their glances and the occasional words i understood made it obvious they thought Ev and Maddi were a good option.
    And so we'd lingered over the menu, debating whether to go for the fish or the pork and rating the sangria on the Avila (town of the best sangria to date) Scale - with Maddi, naturally being the moderator. By now we also had the 'Gullfoss Iceland Scale' ...

    ... 8364;25 and the Albergue was going to cost €32. And seriously at this point my body is exhausted for the 23/24kms of rain and cold and supporting and mentally mindful of looking after and nursing this stupid ankle! Quiet rest sounded good.

    ... to be considerate of others, blah, blah, blah. The Finnish couple who are married got separated with a no argument conversation. He has a German passport, hers is Finnish - the monastery wasn't having a bar of it.

    This monastery runs a building next door for displaced/disabled people or something of that nature. The place has a large garden and it looks like many of the residents sort of do stuff to stay there. I wouldn't be surprised that they cooked our dinner ...
