    ... wasn't the beach we were hoping for, I mean it was lovely, but it was full of kite surfers, not for the average beach goer. We turned round and headed for white beach, around a 10 minute walk. We walked through d'mall, an area full of markets and restaurants, and arrive to a stunningly beautiful beach. The main beach is several kilometers long and lined with restaurants cafes and shops as this is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Philippines.     ... of thinking to myself what a magical day it’s been, Phil surprises me with a private dinner arranged specially in a beautiful gazebo overlooking the sea. The food is excellent, the moon is shimmering on the water, and the waves are crashing on the rocks below us. I feel so lucky and content.

    Half hour later, after asking a handful of boatmen and getting a deal for 1300 pesos for a 3-4 hour trip round the island we are on our way to the boat! Not bad when they started asking for 1500 peso for 1 hour!!

    Workout that these little boats aren't so stable as they look! especially when the wind picks up! Maybe saying no to lifejackets was a bad idea!!
