Tis the night before flight, only 1 creature remain stirring, while the other is with wine and close to his sight blurring. ... all at once I see a sign that said "Construction Ahead". Hummm, what will this bring, I says to meself (No Nellie, meself didn't answer back...jeeze). Any how, it was pretty much construction almost all the next 200 miles or so. Nothing drastic, like driving on the gravel shoulder or nuthin. Just "sit up and drive the durn thang" kinda construction.

Hauling thru horse country is kinda nice. Ya get to see lots of cool fences, ...

Day 2. Started off in 20% chance of afternoon showers at 730. Then if I would have gone another 20 miles I could have saved a bundle on the hotel, but I was tired and it was getting dark. Our visit to St. Pete area continued. Monday and Tuesday, we caught up with doctors, dentists, tax preparers, shopping at Ellenton, just general maintenance stuff. Tuesday night, met Jane and Judy at Boardwalk for a cocktail, then Ed played Trivia while the girls went to Jackie's on Corey Avenue.
