Perfect location for riding the smokies. Quaint little town. We stayed at the Spring Creek Taven, rooms very large and over look the creek

... Then we happened upon "Art on the River" - a whole area filled with a wide variety of artists. We ate lunch at "Clingman's Cafe" and sat outside on a sunny patio - lovely! We spent the rest of the day exploring the artists' studios and meeting the artists. We returned home for a bit of down time and then a pot luck dinner with Jim and Sue in our NEW HOME. We'll add more pics as we download them from the ...

We left this morning around 8:50 - travelling to Ashville today. It was a lovely drive through the mountains. More colour in the trees than what we saw in the park. 15 degrees today!! We wanted to go to the top of the highest point in the eastern states ( Mt. Mitchell 6647ft high). Upon ...

Yes, that includes winery tour and tasting and some other things you can see on property but still seems steep even if you get a $10 discount by buying your ticket at the ...

... out the quirky shops and people. We even gave a woman (with a genuine Southern accent, finally) a ride to an AA meeting at a local church. Southern people are so friendly...
The drive back was so nice. Good talks, beautiful scenery (thanks to a wrong turn), and it finally cooled down. We ended the night with some BBQ, at a place that was truly hopping. It was so much fun. ...
