... The thing I forgot to mention about Steamboat Lake is the altitude. Yes we are back above the 8000 feet mark (9419 feet). I start to feel the effects of the altitude sickness again. The nausea, shortness of breath, confusion all came back with a vengeance. It was a shame that I can’t take the altitude because this area is quite beautiful. Well one more night and we will be gone. Needless to say, we don’t do a whole lot today and are still put off about the water ...
