    ... and mountainous, manly vegetated by conifers or sheoak-type trees. The water is typical Med - crystal clear.

    I plan to stay in Marmaris until Saturday, then go to Fethiye to look at another boat. I have no idea how long I will stay here in Turkey; it depends on several things. Here are just a few pix that I took while having lunch today at the marina. Love and best wishes to all.

    ... and old Christian catacombs. There are also the old remains of a Byzantine fortress. Dominican monks live here today. Amazing! Although we did not get to see them, there are the remains of a 4th century Temple on the acropolis of Lindos and from here you can see St. Paul's Bay where he is said to have sought shelter during a storm.     ... night card playing this time. Aust swept the series of "********" against NZ. Woke up in Turkey! Marmaris is in a spectacular location. Hills everywhere. We met our driver who appeared to be fairly new to the task of driving. Staying on the right side of the road was a challenge. But a great guy with perfect English.     The island of Rhodes is another big tourist attraction with many beach resorts and hotels. I was told tourist season has another 2 weeks and then everything closes. The weather has been great, sunny in the mid 20's. This is a good time of year to go, perhaps not as crowded and not as hot.
