... We heard from Oana that he cooks, so I suggested seeing how
his food tastes like. Early this morning after we went to the train station to
go to Sinaia, he woke up and started cooking Italian food for us. He is
handsome and is very modest. I like that. Once we came back from Sinaia, he
called us and asked us where we were because the food was getting cold. He is
really a guy that every woman should find.

Sinaia
We went to the Peles ...
Sinaia, Romania queenythelu... Romanian they can be really nice it is just the first impression you get from them some times is not good. I have genuinely had a really good time in Romania I was presently surprised how much I liked it, I would defiantly recommend to anybody especially the Transylvania area, also there is not that many tourists here which I really like and things are pretty cheap, I just had a good size pizza for just over 2 pounds, bar gin! Until tomorrow and Bulgaria, Ciao!

Rasnov, Romania buranowu... about my Bulgaria travel plans) and made it to Brasov just after six, wallets still in tact. Sunday morning, Emily and I toured old town Brasov, which is really quite clean, well restored, and lovely, before heading for Bran. I very much enjoyed Dracula's castle a second time and afterwards, Emily and I got down to the serious business of souvenir shopping. Bran is surrounded by souvenir stalls and while we stayed away from the Dracula kitsch, slinkies ...
Sinaia, Romania kally563... because Mihai's family was kind and good-natured. I only disliked the television and computer, which infected the peaceful air, and there was nowhere to escape to when they were on. Romania and Eastern Europe are changing. A lot of people have cars now. A driver in Hungary told me the packed highway we rode on had been nearly empty two decades ago. Now, trucks carrying cheaply made goods to Western Europe navigate Romanian small-town roads walked on ...
Brasov, Romania modernoddyseus... I thanked Sparkles and walked out, not sure of what to do, but very determined to have the best day of my life with tons of activity. Well, it wasn't the best day of my life, but with my college education I was able to piece together a few ideas. So there is a mountain, but with no snow... what can you do on mountains without snow... HIKING! So, I basically tromped around the ski resort that I would have skied at. I wasn't able to get to a summit of a peak, because there ...
Sinaia, Romania msu... Anyways, we'll see how this one goes. I have see three movies recently. Sketches of Frank Gehry was fascinating (although I am an architect). Talladega Nights made me laugh, and then I saw Idiocracy with Luke Wilson. That is the best comedy I have seen since Thank you for Smoking. Just hilarious, smart, and witty. Bravo Idiocracy, and well done. Oh, I'll try and put pictures on ASAP, but I'm not sure when that will be. Till tomorrow then! Craig
Brasov, Romania msuSo, we're here. Vled Tepes' alleged castle. I started in the previous entry to tell a little bit of Vled's rise to notoriety. Briefly, by all accounts he was a patriotic if not despotic Romanian ruler through the 15th century famed for defeating the Turks on several occasions. Getting to the point however, more than anything else, Vlad Tepes is known for his exceeding cruelty. Impalement was Tepes's preferred method of torture and execution, which ...
Bran, Romania natandkat... to grocery shopping in familiar surroundings. If only we can arrange to have a few of our favourite things from Europe to suddenly appear on the shelves of shops in Whitehorse.... On our last day in Romania we had forgotten about the time/clock change ...things you forget while traveling - just as well our helpful 'landlords' think of these things and remind us so we do not miss the train ...
Sinaia, Romania mchupe_travelsSpent a few days in this small town, saw the touristy Dracula's castle (which isn't the real one apparently) and it's merchandise, lovely rolling hills, ruins of castles and some wild bears. Ate cheaply and well, caught up on some reading and sitting in cafes...
