... thank her for her hospitality, and for driving us to the factory, but were informed that such a gift would cause her great embarrassment. So, with gritted teeth, we did our best to show no embarrassment when presented with a veritable feast, and I ate until I hurt more than food has ever hurt me before.
Jessica's mother ordered everything for the five of us, abruptly instructing numerous waitresses to bring us tasty treats, then sending them back if they were anything less than ...
... When taking a boat trip along the long slim lake, I can see the golden sunshine sparkling on the water and feel the gentle breeze on my face----this is the very moment that I actually believe paradise does exist. Get packed and come to Yangzhou in the lively spring, to embrace and enjoy. I wish my pen,my eyes and my camera could capture the spectacular scenery.
Yangzhou, China taozi... t get a very good write-up in the guidebooks but we thought it was stunning and really friendly in a less leery way than Suzhou. The main attraction is the Slender West Lake which is a pretty park. Ge Garden was so lovely - almost as nice as Suzhou's Master of the Garden of Nets!

Yangzhou, China laurenzo... t too high, or the bunk bed doesn't squeak like the one at the coal mine. When I got into the room..I was confused... Where is the bunk bed?!?! All I see is this double bed!!! Sigh. So there is the first part of the puzzle. I share a bed with a chubby 15 year old manchild. One what occupies 80% of the bed, one who talks in his sleep, and one that thrashes about like a giant monster with flailing limbs! I've been awaken EVERY night!! Either getting slapped in the face, or kneed in ...
Zhenjiang, China lannyc... entry into all of Melbourne's sites and Local Peoples entry into all of the Gold Coast parks. HHhhhmmm, somehow I can never see that one happen! The grounds were crowed and the entrance to the first building was filled with the thick aroma of incense that was being burned by the hundreds of Chinese who were doing their 'North, South, East and West' thing. After leaving the first building the three of ...
Zhenjiang, China eddakath... one hundred thousand stone carvings at Luoyang's 'Dragon Gate Grottoes', here they are simply little gold statues each in its own plastic casing.
Sadly it makes each level of the pagoda look exactly like the one below.
The view at the top seriously does make the climb more than worth it. So for me it really was a little sad about the inside of the pagoda. I spent many hours following exploring the island and ...
... go out with his family. After waving good bye I made my way towards Zhongshan Lu and chatted to two primary school girls who had been following me for about five minutes. We took a few photos and they then headed home. By now it was around eight so I headed back towards home to do some hand washing and to wash away the day. The day was a scorcher! I have no idea of temperature, I just know if it's warm, hot or bloody HOT! On my way home I found a ...
Zhenjiang, China eddakath... Ticket and see what happens. Guess what? Its actually part of the Multi-ticket! It was so beautiful and I was so happy I noticed the entrance as I was walking. From the LP: it offers a quiet escape along a small canal dotted with birds and blossoms, archways, bridges, pavilions and a marble boat. There are hundreds of bonsai ...
