Bodrum The Helenic Island of Kos is just 10 miles off the turkish coast of Bodrum. So this is where we'd head off from. We arrived in bodrom late in the afternoon on Monday, after a quick diversion to Oludeniz, the blue lagoon. A quick dip, and ample time to dry off and read some of my book. Only an hour and a half away from Akyaka, so perfect for a day trip. As Zeki couldn't start work yet because he will do the second half of his Anatolia trip, it was a perfect opportunity for some trips. On the way there, some soldiers stopped the bus to check everyone's ID. It was the first time that a Turkish soldier had checked my ID so I was terrified, but they let me pass!
