    ... car towed to a tyre place with a $600 bill to pay after the tow and new tyres. I'm glad they didn't key it instead! That happened to David's car when it was only a few months old. And she tells me that Sam is suffering a little with after effects from his football match.     ... but don't worry I'm fine, it wasn't for very long". Uggghhhh boys and football - I appreciate his passion for the game and his loyal dedication to his mates and the club, but can't help wishing he would give it up!! I continued reading my birthday messages and felt truly fortunate and blessed to have LOTS, from many special people in my life. Wow; how nice to wake up to THAT....one of the advantages of being behind in time compared to Australia :)

    ... hill en route to some ruins and a cafe. On and on we went...luckily I asked a passing local who was happy to stop his motorbike. Hmmm no cafe up there! I must have got the directions wrong from the receptionist. I was glad I asked as it was very hot and we had already walked around a kilometre. What was I thinking....there was a lovely pool and sea waiting! So back to the hotel where we enjoyed ...

    ... Athens and we easily worked out the Metro system to Pireaus port to catch the ferry. Unfortunately though that wasn’t till 5.30 and we were thankful that our disappointment at not getting an earlier ferry turned out to be a good thing. We arrived at the port in the early afternoon and enjoyed a rest and drink after navigating our cases from the train station.

    Stopped at the Greek port of Argostoli. Very small town. Part of the Kelonica Island. What is amazing how a cruise ship this size managers to dock at such a small town, part of a canal so to speak. We taking the next 2 days to rest as we have 2 nights at Bella Italia, then off to Rome, which will be a lot of walking and site seeing with the ...
