... sandwich was actually quite delicious. It was a great snack to hold us off for the brewery.

We had to meet up with everyone at the convention center by 3:15 to catch the bus. We had a unique opportunity to see some of the products Jeanne's company produces as well as some of the things their counterpart company sells. I even had a chance to operate the mechanical arms used to load radioactive sources - I think I would ...

... way of sports stadiums and tennis courts and swimming baths for young and not so young. Parked up tonight at a Stellplatz at Bayreuth, so back in the country of eis cafés, no wifi and no bank cards but not before having to take an 'umleitung' to avoid a flooded road. 04/06/2013. Having arrived at Bayreuth in the rain, we left in the rain - leaving visiting the town for another year. Tonight we are at Gaildorf - again, not for the first time, but ...

Too Many Brewery Tours Are Never Enough

      ... it to begin.

Compared to the Budvar tour, the Urquell tour had all the hallmarks of a global beer company (SAB Miller) - flashy video presentations, massive scale and a big bus to transport everyone around the facility to do the tour (Budvar was all on foot).

Our guide was great and explained the ins and outs of the brewery, it's history and current operations. The main downside was the size of the group with about 50 people, most who didn't seem ...
