... historically had problems between its Greeks and Turks and with independence from Britain in 1960, the situation deteriorated even more. By 1964 the population was at war and the a United Nations resolution gave the Greek Cypriots control of the island. The Green Line was drawn as the ceasefire line for both sides. Mainland Greece had also decided by the 1970s that uniting Cyprus with Greece would be in everyone's best interest and this caused further ...
Nicosia, Cyprus atlpilot36... br>
The Latvian girl at the hotel told me there is a bus that maybe or maybe not runs to Nicosia but service ends at 5pm. She also said there is maybe a stop in town for or maybe not. Either way I am going to try to find my way there so I can see the capital and hopefully there is something to hold my interest. She told me most people are like me...here for a day and a half on their way to the Middle East. Cyprus is an extremely cheap bridge between the ...

But back to my point...Billa provides a shopping experience I have never before seen in a supermarket. Just when I think I have seen it all, I find one of those travel experiences in some Bulgarian grocery store underground next to the subway station. All right there grouped together next to the registers (manned by dour matrons) where we would keep the tic tacs and magazines were mints ...
All packing and cleaning is underway !!! Only 36 or so hours left before we hit the tarmac at Larnaca !! Just need to get the dog wormed and de-flead (not that he has them !), groomed and then buy him a travel box for the flight !
Fingers crossed all our accommodation arrangements have been made for Athens and Samothraki !
... all just fit and seemed perfect. On the return to Paphos we spotted
the spot where Aphrodite was born from the sea and her temple up on a
cliff. It was a very long day but one filled with several

church of St.. Lazarus where he was finally laid to rest.

limited English but made the most valiant effort. He simply was
trying to tell us that the troubles between Christians and Muslims
and Jews and everyone should not be. That this minor difference of
religion should not be causing so much trouble, so much difficulty
amongst the people of the world. He was a very nice man and it was
an unforgettable experience.
After a day of driving and walking
around it was an early night.
... a Turkish invasion. On 3rd April 2008, as part of efforts to reunify the island, a symbolic wall dividing the two communities at Ledra Street was opened. We took the opportunity to cross the border here. The crossing is very simple if you are a EU citizen. You just have to have your passport on you, complete a simple form at the security counter and off you go. Over the border you will find a selection of eateries, markets, shops and some historic ...
Ayia Napa, Cyprus andyfreshwater... is certainly a great place to vacation in the early fall. Late October and early November was still quite warm to our standards, but the tourist season was over for Eurpeans so it was a good place to vacation as it was moderately priced.
... with them...perfect situation! This flight even had the personal entertainment (keep it clean folks) with the tv monitors in the back of each seat. So I begin to watch Kong. Looks like it has potential. I never saw it before. It was wicked long (like 3 hours) but I had the time to kill. So as the movie is reaching the apex (figuratively and literally...Kong and his gf have climbed the Empire State building and fighter planes are ...

Our Cezch friend struggled to understand our banter and sloped off early - either that or we were talking nonsense.. I think I know which one. View from above Typical mountain village Num and chapel crammed with frescos Dissused transport Monastry I call this photo "The improvised mug shot" Very druink group shot Doesn't it make you sick!
