My last stop in Greece
Today we stopped in Kavalla, which is a nice seaside town about halfway between Meteora and Galipolli, our next stop. It was 39 degrees here! The main thing to see is the Old Town, which is up on a hill and has a small castle at the top. It was a hot walk, but worth it for the views. I also bought a little blue over-the-should fake Marc Jacobs bag to use during the day.

Kavala'da öğlen yemeği
... 351;usu olan Panaglia Kilisesi'nin bahçesinden denizi ve ufuktaki Taşoz Adası'nı (Nikos Thasos) seyrettik.
Dönüşte denize yukarıdan bakan bir kafede kahve molası verdik, Kavala'yı seyrederek Türk kahvelerimizi içtik.
Tekrar limana inerken turistik anı eşyaları satan bir dükkanda da mola verdikten sonra otobüsümüze bindik ve Kavala'dan ayrıldık.

... and follow my nose towards the sea. Suddenly I'm surrounded by people in bikinis, carrying lilos, talking into mobile phones and sipping their frappes through straws; I am at the beach amidst the Greeks at play!
The campsite is actually on the beach but separated from it by a high link fence. The picture you can see is from their ad but was probably drawn before there was a campsite. It looks pretty full as I pull up to the gates. ...
