... the wrong place and finally had us marching along the side of the highway to meet the others, who were less than impressed. That all being said that was a very minor drawback in what was an otherwise amazing day. We started with Christ the Redeemer, which was straight up one of the most incredible sights I have ever witnessed, both Christ and the view of the coast and the city. We pulled a suitable number of 'gringo poses', got some happy snaps and then moved on. The ...

We headed back down on both cable cars and got a taxi back to the metro station. For those who have spoken to me in the last few months have probably got a little bored of me talking about RIo. The fact I was suppose to be there for 4 days and ended up staying for 8 days expains it all. My bus arrived in Rio earlier than it was suppose to. I got another bus to Ipanema where I was going to stay with Anthony, Darren, Willo, Boris and John who had been there since the Uruguay game. One by one the lads woke up ...

... the replay of the previous days game. Such a fun relaxing way to spend the afternoon.

Headed off on the bus to Copacabana Beach to the Fan Fest – a massive fan zone set up on the sand that you could see from miles away. Glad I got there early while the entry lines were still civilised. The atmosphere and the crowds grew and I edged my way closer to the front, enjoying the Aussie fans and joining ...
