We spent the last three days at Dave and Lisa's in Iowa City. The Prius was transferred to Iowa on 12 February. Sheila was sad to let it go - but it went to a good home. The Prius gave us 179K miles. We had a great time with our granddaughter Izzie. She has ...
... to a local restaurant for dinner....mexican. Woke early this morning and used Yelp to find a local owned coffee house, Reid's Beans. They hooked me up with a large carafe of coffee and two poached eggs over salmon over goat cheese on sourdough bread. Loved it. She inquired about my plans for the day. ... weather forecast is not too good as storms are predicted along our path.
Our destination is Amana Colonies in Amana, IA. This is an historic German town that we stopped briefly on our trip to Alaska in 2012. The town closes up at 5:00 pm so we decided to come back and stay a few nights to check it out. More tomorrow on our venture into town.
I have included a short video of what we see as we head down the road. Enjoy.
