    Kassiopi is 30kms north from Corfu town (50kms total from Agios Ioannis Peristeron) with the last 20kms full of twists, turns, climbs, narrow passes, and several gear changes in our little BMW rental. Driving on the right hand side in a left handed drive over these roads never felt so exhilarating!     ... with lots of steps through the ancient ruins, dating back to 400 BC.
    We see Greek, Roman and even Venetian ruins. Very spectacular. We are told that many mosaic floors have been preserved, but they are covered in plastic and sand to keep them from deteriorating. Not much good for us us, their must be a better way! We eventually get to see a small example.
