    ... staying in the Colossae Thermal Hotel in Permukale, supposedly 5 star but a long way from that in my view. Everything in the hotel is expensive including the beer. They have mineral pools here and Victoria and I decided to try a soak after dinner. The key in the locker they gave me broke and they wanted to charge me for it.     ... other group so we met a few more people. At the bar it was really weird. There were about 5 people working and it was their job to just dance and get us dancing and drinking. So they were up on the bar and pulling people up on the bar to dance with them. It was pretty cool but the music wasn't that great. At 12.30 the bus was heading back to the hotel so we couldn't stay out too late, all good though coz I was so tired! And we have a 7am wake up call ...

    We entered Hierapolis via the necropolis. Noel & I hadn't ventured this way before so the huge number of burial sites was really interesting. We also got to see the cave opening where carbon dioxide was emitted. The pagan cults used this gas to go into ecstatic states and give prophecies.
