We decided to have a late start on Monday morning. Our original plan was to drive to Nashville late in the morning, check into a hotel to secure our luggage and then go to the music hall of fame. After some discussion, we decided that Nashville really was a several day excursion and one we would rather do by flying or driving to in a vehicle. Nashville is a big city and big cities are often not very nice to travel through on motorbikes.
... adventures from trains, planes and automobiles! We plan on saying hi to the Pope, peer into the crater of an active volcano, sunbathe on the beaches of the Ionian Sea, marvel at the ruins of Pompeii, and eats lots of seafood and pizza. I may even have a glass of wine or two!

... National Forest. Although this is a popular area, we arrived early enough that no other people were here. A brief thunderstorm on the way may have helped in keeping the crowds away. From the parking area, we followed the short Big Falls Trail (172) less than half a mile down past the top of the waterfall to the base of the falls. ... well constructed sentences. ...and just sat down, - at this moment even the LONG ASS down hill into Uncle Johnny's seemed like Everest! After a few, as in about 10!, switch backs.... (what the heck..I do not remember that many from my 2008 thru-hike)..... I arrived at Uncle Johnny's! A few sodas, and my last Pastrami/ baby spinach sandwhich was in order :-) Finally able to relax, and get a shower :-) Time to relax, drink up/eat up, and talk to friends ...
