    ... in my younger years. It looked a bit run down and not as busy as I remembered it being. We ran into a pretty good thunderstorm on the way to our friends, Don and Mary. A dinner of roast pork, mashed potatoes, and a mixed salad prepared by Mary was delicious. With the mugginess outside, Mary and Don insisted that we sleep inside in the air conditioning.     Today we were basically spending the day driving. It was supposed to be a 6.5 hour drive which quickly extended to 8 hours because heading out of Washington we were stuck in crazy bumper to bumper traffic.     We decided to have a late start on Monday morning. Our original plan was to drive to Nashville late in the morning, check into a hotel to secure our luggage and then go to the music hall of fame. After some discussion, we decided that Nashville really was a several day excursion and one we would rather do by flying or driving to in a vehicle. Nashville is a big city and big cities are often not very nice to travel through on motorbikes.
