... 8230; Being so tired, as we often are on the start of our journeys, we do expect a lot from the hotels when we arrive .. These are not cheap hotels. We ...
Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia dinziez... be finally on the road, with pups AND we think that Michelle and Adrian still like us after providing us with a roof over our heads for such a long time!
I think maybe the next entry should be titled, "The trip really begins" because all of the above is really just organising, appointments, spending, planning, driving to and from places trying to find parts. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Not a very interesting blog yet for any travellers but at least our family knows where we are!
... contend with. Anyway, arrived in Brisbane, met up with my sister-in-law and future brother-in-law for a great breakfast, then headed down to the Gold Coast for a few days to recover from the flight and get on the right time zone. Sydney amazingly (what a trooper she is... apparently a natural born traveler too!) only woke at 3am for 2 nights... took maybe 10 mins max to get her back to sleep, then slept until her normal 7am ...
Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia incrediblelife... that work with us and a fella from Tonga that does most of the heavy lifting. We have been to see the brisbane lions afl team and we saw the rugby league test game between australia and new zealand. Unfortunately australia battered them. We only have 3 weeks left in Brisbane so were in the middle of planning our next trip. We escaped paying our lasts month rent somehow aswell but we wont complain. Im playing football still with ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia oz2009... Gardens which were very nice. That night we went out in Brisbane but I stayed off the goon this time. I just had one drink which someone bought for me. Brisbane nightlife was very much similar to home except that everywhere has a gaming room and everyone has fruit machine addictions. We were lucky to get a lift home from one of Greenie's friends who had just finished work at one... it was a tight squeeze fitting five into a sports car though! We stopped at ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia claramon... they do every day and allowing us to wander through their world. Amazing. For all of you out there who have been to the Gold Coast strip and think that's all there is to it. Believe me, there is much much more. Seek it out. We booked our trip with Balunjali through the tour desk but were blown away by the whole experience - can't thank the staff enough for recommending it ***** star on my travel scale!
Gold Coast, Australia sammybb... on Friday, 13 March from Chandler. Our destination this time was Gatton showgrounds to rendezvous with a dump point as our black water tank only lasts two weeks, then on to Heiffer Creek, a quiet overnighter on the Ma Ma Creek Road on the way to Clifton. Up early to do a few chores which we should have done before we left, i.e. checking tyre pressures, oil and water. All were absolutely okay. We spent the weekend, Saturday and Sunday ...
Brisbane, Australia joderekononhome... 30 days to process, its got to get sent to Canberra to get sorted out.. its a bit scary G being passportless at the moment, and so soon before we fly out! I have just looked up on the British Passport website and found out in the UK it only costs £72 to get a passport? I thought it was more than that. Thats just made it even more annoying that we have to pay £150 for his over here !!! That also means we are definitely ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia christinauk... write up in the Lonely Planet Guide. Sorry guys but it had no ambience whatsoever so we headed back along the river front sussing out the many restaurants. They are all competing for the best menus but not the best price. The menus are flowery -confit of this with jus of that etc etc In the end as it was after 9pm we stopped at a place called Il Centro-. What a find. The Fantasia di granseola is a must. A 3 tiered plate of crab dishes- one with avocado, another deep fried with ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia tizwoz... proportional relationship with the level of enjoyment I get from said rides. It's all very scientific as you can well see, but basically the second option -- if you didn't quite follow the intellectual jargon that I have laid out for you - means simply, that as I get older I am becoming more and more of a WIMP. Or so the evidence would suggest. I'm thinking it must be a combination of factors really, but the bottom line is that these ...
