... that dog has I am
sure the bullet would have bounced off her. Ex-army, marriage veteran, dog lover and severe alcoholic, Ian has a routine carefully arranged around drinking himself to death and walking his dogs.
I awoke at dawn having slept well, despite the black-spotted-canine whirlwind which on numerous occasions nearly destroyed my tent. After a few failed attempts at dog sign language I packed up my tent and then witnessed some of the best drinking tremors ...

We turned off the main road and headed up into the hills to Madara where the horseman is chiselled in stone on the mountainside at one point and this has become the national symbol. It was voted the most important figure / relic / attraction in Bulgaria and this in itself speaks volumes about the lack of other attractions. It is ancient, dating from approx. 7th century but is hardly impressive enough to ...
I met Albena last Christmas, she is married to Rick Harper a Washington National Guard Soldier and contractor at Fort Lewis. They had had moved from Virgina, and Albena was not yet working and had not met many people.

A very nice place and quiet resort, is ideal target for family with kids, food and drinks very cheap and the people are friendly. In writing you may not be able to tell that this was sarcasm. Both toilet/showers were busy so even though we both needed to go to the bathroom we had to wait to use the filthy things. Finally Dave the owner showed up ...
Varna, Varna, Bulgaria dinoshona... to stay for a while and so rented our umbrella ($6A) and enjoyed a couple of hours swimming and relaxing by the Black Sea. The whole area is the Surfers Paradise of Bulgaria with massive high rise luxury resorts, carnival rides, allocated beach areas, parasailing and masses of cafe’s, bars and restaurants. Later we walked back to the hotel and had a swim in the pool before ordering a pizza to have on our balcony.
Golden Sands, Varna, Bulgaria souterDue to the Cold War being over and the world seems to a much more settled place now, Russia has an over abundance of FSB officers with nothing to do. So, as not to have them wandering about the workplace with nothing to do, the Russian Government has rented out these ...

Went for drive after that through Varna city centre, grabbed some lunch and went for a walk along the garden boulevarde that follows along the coastline. Even had one Bilgarian recognise me from working with the Stella Maris in Australia though I could not actually place him, I must have made some sort of impression on him so that he remembered me. Finally got some nice ...
