Lakes and the seaside
... firmer we reached the top. The scene that lay below us made the climb worth climbing. The sea was a rich blue against the skies light blue backdrop and the white, candy floss clouds floated above. The castle was small on the castle scale, but impressive sitting on the side of a cliff. Some pirate ship like cannons sat remembering all the gun powder in their glory days. We climbed the stairway circling upwards between the round, grey stone walls of the turret ...
Malinska snorkelling!
... but with toxicly orange pasta sauce which we then all had smeared round our chops for the rest of the day)
Time for a wander so strolled round 'town' for a bit and bought a proper snorkel. Woohoo time to test it out so back in the sea!! Got to see loads more with the snorkel in place, even spotted a cool electric blue swordfish eel type fish and a load of sea cucumber things.
Once shrivelled like a prune we headed back to camp to sort out dinner and chill ...
Croatia here we come!!
... dinner- our whole bill of 2 beers, a bottle of water and 2 meals cost £10. Yeehaa! That saves plenty of cash for pudding then...
So found an amazing ice cream place next to the harbour!! 70p for a delicious scoop of ice cream and wide variety of flavours... I'd better try 3! :P
Back to our campsite to try out my roll mat in the stones... Looking forward to a swim n snorkel ...
