    It was a lovely start to the day, but before we did anything, I checked to make sure the time of day and the date were correct and they were. We are now GMT+13. The temperature at 7am was 27C, the wind Force 5 and the sea slight.     ... I suppose it is because it is so flat but they would still be useful when you have to stop at junctions! The bikes we hired were barely useable but we gave it a go and set off to try and cycle to the Northern most point of the island were Tasman landed and find a beach.
