Hi, I am writing this while waiting for our third flight of the day. This morning we flew from Brisbane to Denpasar and then onto Jakarta. Our next flight is to Amsterdam and we are due to leave Jakarta about 4am (East Coast Australia time), this will be longest flight of the trip of about 14.5hrs. The kids are travelling well.

... the brilliant craftsmanship. Natural ingredients such as berries, bark and leaves made the colours back then. Aldy told me that the blue colouring is made by something found in the banana leaf which I though was an interesting fact. Apparently all the puppets made by Aldy’s family are from rhino skin because it is tough which allows them to carve with a lot more detail then other materials. The skin is soaked in herbs and spices like nutmeg for a few weeks to help preserve it ...
