... arm massage which we thought was a bit strange but apparently is common here. The whole haircut was set to the evening Muslim call to prayer over the loud speakers and then subsequent Muslim readings. It was almost a surreal experience. Katherine (from the very interesting and informative blog http://kandbabroad.wordpress.com/) documented the whole thing for us.

... is a well known puppet museum and the entrance fee was 5000IRD or 50 cents Canadian. Once inside we watched a puppet show and were given a tour of the museum by the 26th descendant of the original puppet maker. He spoke English well and was very charming…all a ruse to get us to buy a puppet or two, which worked, of course. Jess, my English coworker, is a shopper. I am not. But is it necessary for me to get out my my apartment and the general Kelapagading area? Hells yes.

Since being here in Indonesia I haven't seen much of anything. This would be because I haven't had much opportunity to, I don't have too much money, and also because I simply don't like shopping much. Are there other things to do besides shop? I'm sure there are. However, in two weeks with about 3 free days ...
