We just sat at the top of the dune for a while and took it all in. Again, another place to bring the parents, maybe with a picnic and some nice Bordeaux wine! New Years night consisted of a quiet night in, as Jayden had to travel for an away game a couple of days later. Unfortunately, the UBB went down to Racing Metro ...

Our bus deposited us in the “Place de la Bourse.” This place is wonderful. It is laid out to be entirely pedestrian and recreation friendly (are you listening, Toronto?) and extends along the west bank of the river for several kilometers. Magnificent palaces and parks ...

... slippery so we duck into L’antre restaurant for lunch and enjoy the rain from a cosy spot near the fire. We choose the 3 course set menu which is unbelievably cheap. Anthony has a warm beef salad for entrée, I have the best salmon carpuccio I have ever tasted. Main was some kind of aged beef that had a beautiful flavour but was quite tough and chewy. We finish up with cheese platter which I can barely eat because I am so full!

We wander around the cute village then ...
