Calle Juan Uslar, Urb. La Vina Valencia, Central Venezuela, Venezuela, 241-813-3100
... the morning while watching a little green toucan preen, yawn, scratch itself, and take a drink of water from the plant growing on the branch (Pierre's note: this happens to be a grooved-billed toucanet. Not only is it an endemic species found only in Venezuela but also fairly difficult to find anywhere but where Cory was crunching away). There were birds in all colours, the most prevalent (the Swallow tanager) the same ...

Valencia, Central Venezuela, Venezuela bugs1983G´day, After a very interesting first night spent mostly at the Simon Boliviar Airport, Caracas due to car problems, we had a change of plan which saw us staying in Valencia with Alex´s parents for a couple of nights. It is now early morning and about to resume to orginal plan of heading to the Grand Savanah (2 days drive), I don´t know much about it but Alex and Emiro (Alex´s brother) say it is like nothing else. We will be camping for 6 ...
Valencia, Central Venezuela, Venezuela stujames... in 45 minutes before. Crazy place. You have to give your name and cedula [Venezuelan ID] number every time you buy anything, even coffee. They track what everyone is buying all the time. Anyway, today I will be meeting with the committee the TEAM church is setting up to run an Emmaus ministry. The email contacts have been promising and they've already put a lot of work into ...
Valencia, Venezuela ecsflemings... stapled together. That afternoon we journeyed on to Valencia, Venezuela´s second city - but lacking the culture of Caracas. Home to some large industries (namely Polar - the beer), it is a huge and growing urban sprawl...but much more orderly than the capital. We stayed with a French/Venezuelan couple for the night (some of George´s friends), who took us to Las Trincheras (natural thermal baths) in the morning ...

Cuyagua, Venezuela joe_und_basti... of towns at this time : Barquisimeto, Valencia then Porto Cabello, all in three days. I have the hotel with the jacuzzi in the bedroom in Porto Cabello, so the good restaurant was in Valencia. Well it's a little confuse. Again with Venezuela, it's not place for tourists, it's place to leave, with a lot of nice people...
Puerto Colombia/Choroni, Venezuela ole.dolven... was barely enough room for the bus in parts not to mention the other buses and cars coming in the opposite direction. It was our first time experiencing a three-point turn employed to negotiate a hairpin bend - the bends were literally 180 degrees and too narrow to fit through at the first attempt. Peurte Columbia is a nice fishing ...
