San Salvador, San Salvador, El Salvador backtobroke... violent!! One of my host brothers went to the game in a green shirt (El Salvador's colors are blue and white) and the entire crowd on our side of about 1,000 people started screaming obscene words at him and throwing garbage at him until he took it off! El Salvador played Costa Rica, and had about 4 shots on goal that were super close but didn't make it. With a minute left in the game, El Salvador scored! El Salvador is already disqualified from ...
San Salvador, San Salvador, El Salvador brookehoesli... on different nights has different live music. After a couple of days of long bus journeys it was good to chill, try and sleep, but if I wasn’t meeting a friend there, I definitely wouldn’t have stayed more than one or two nights. The friend was the reason I headed here instead of Belize which had been the original idea from Guatemala, but as everything in my life there are no plans and everything is fluid and flexible.

As it was I stayed 3 ...
El Tunco, La Libertad, El Salvador hess... I never thought I could stomach being a nurse or a doctor, but I can understand now how incredibly rewarding being a health professional must be. The care people need here is so basic, but it is so expensive! If you are a doctor, nurse or dentist, please consider coming to El Salvador on a medical or dental mission in August of 2010! (And if you know of a healthcare professional urge them to come, too!) This past August we had people working on ...

So macht baden fuer mich keinen ...
Playa El Tunco, El Salvador cristinita... Gregg left to come south, where the plan was to meet up with them. They left about 1 and again found themselves riding in the dark. They got separated in a busy city with heavy traffic and when Greg and Fern pulled over to wait they think that Rene must have been passing a line of trucks at the time he passed by their location because he ended up in front of them. They backtracked to find him but couldn't. Both Gregg, Fern and Rene spent the night ...
Real La Union, El Salvador jdswed... us up that night to show us around. We drove all around town with no headlights, picked up some beers (and whatever else they were into...), took turns long-boarding/driving down some steep roads above the city and went to some exclusive apartment complex to hang out with this guy´s mates. They were all in their early 20´s, in university, drove fast cars...basically we spent the night with the local ´daddy´s ...
San Salvador, El Salvador brabzzz... to a little town of Tacuba, which was the nearest town to National Park El Imposible. The place we stayed was another huge converted house but here we ate mamas cooking, played on papas guitar and watched the England game on their sons tele. We relaxed in some hot springs that night (yeas again), to energise yoursleves for the hike in the park the next day. We opted for the downhill hikew, which took us through coffee plantations, grass 7 foot tall and lead to a 60m ...
San Salvador, El Salvador hanscottclaire... the City movie. Rustin loved that one. LOL :) We departed Leon on Friday after saying goodbye to the many great people we have met during our many visits there. It was by far one of our favourite places in the entire trip. A city that if ever given the chance one must visit. On the bus we got to head back to say goodbye to El Tunco. We are going to spend 2 and a half weeks here to enjoy the surf and to visit the orphanage that I have been volunteering at ...
