... didn't know what to expect from us and were slow to warm up but by the end of the concert, especially after La Fiesta they were well and truly new fans of the National Band. After the concert we had our final visit to 'Mr Beer' who proves that: 1: NZ beer is overpriced and 2: it's OK to drink can beer...half a litre at a time. Some finished up at 1:00am which on a normal concert night wouldn't be worth a mention but with a 4:00am wake-up pending we ...

A large roundabout in the city has buildings of many different styles around it and other features and they apparently ...

... outside as we discussed what was needed for us to continue the trip. Some electrical work was required to get the air conditioning system working on one car (which has no heater since they are not installed in Malaysia). I had expected them to be carrying steel cable to extract cars at a distance and other items from a group who offroad in the jungles of Malaysia, but their kit was limited to a series of snatch straps, max trax (plastic boards to go under the ...

... our bags while he tried to renegotiate the price. He got down to "100" but t seemed easier to go get a normal taxi. Up until the point that we left in the taxi he kept asking if 100 would be OK. Considering it is about 20km I would have expected to pay up to 100 but the local information meant we would try pay the normal rate. 40 yuan equates to about AUD$7. Once we get going the first thing that is apparent is how ...
